Technology, society, nature – discover new paths in retail with RETAIL(UN)COVERED
In cooperation with Düsseldorf University of Applied Sciences (HSD), the RETAIL(UN)COVERED Stage at EuroShop 2026 brings new perspectives for retail to the stage. Here you can experience today what will come out of the university labs and onto the shop floor tomorrow.
The RETAIL(UN)COVERED program is divided into these overarching topics:
Future, Quantum AI, Technology: This area highlights the digital transformation of retail along the entire value chain – from data-driven processes and AI-supported design to autonomous convenience formats and hybrid living spaces.
Community, Social, People: The focus here is on cities and retail as a social infrastructure. The cluster focuses on urban living spaces, local supply, encounters and participation. Concepts such as the 15-minute city or Barcelona's superblocks form the framework for discussions about the consequences of online retail, vacancies and the loss of programs in city centers.
Sustainability, Nature, Our Planet: This area combines approaches to sustainable trade as well as urban and industrial design. The focus is on neighborhood-based strategies, resource-saving materials and sustainable design concepts across the entire life cycle.
